Salsa fans and home cooks, get ready — the most delicious event of the summer is back!The Best Salsa in the Ark-La-Tex Contest will take place on the final day of the Texarkana Farmers Market. If you’ve got a killer recipe, it’s time to bring it out and compete for bragging rights and a big shiny trophy.
Contest Categories
- Kids Division – Perfect for young chefs (minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- Restaurant Division – Local restaurants and food businesses show off their signature salsas
- People’s Choice Award – The crowd gets to vote for their favorite
Everyone at the market will get free samples and help crown the winners alongside local judges. Expect everything from classic chunky red salsa to fiery green, smoky roasted, and creative sweet-heat combinations.
How to Enter & Participate
- Booth Fee: Only $15
- Bring your own table setup

- Location: 500 N. Stateline Ave., Downtown Texarkana
