Sparks in the Park pleases locals with huge fireworks show — Thanks to Cooper Tire

Thousands gathered in Texarkana for Sparks in the Park — the popular local event that almost didn't happen this year due to a loss of funding. But Cooper Tire saved the day and provided the needed money.

Both kids and adult marveled at the fireworks display which took place at the Four States Fairgrounds.

There were reports of a fight that broke out during the event, but that is often to be expected at large events in the area.

However, all of us owe Cooper Tire a big debt of gratitude for saving Sparks in the Park and giving the Texarkana area a gift that so many of us enjoyed this evening.

Here's hoping funding will come through next year for this great event.
