On Monday morning, four new deputies swore an oath at the Bossier Parish Courthouse in the Sheriff's Conference Room.
Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington conducted the swearing-in ceremony.
"We are glad that you chose to work with us," said Sheriff Whittington. "Out of all the
agencies and other employment opportunities available, we are honored that you decided to come and serve with us."
There will be four newly sworn-in deputies working in each of the three correctional facilities in Plain Dealing immediately, Cecily Moody, Danny Hatcher, Joseph Hammersla, and Shaynekqua "Shay" Taylor.
Lastly, David Walls works security at the Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton.
