Texas High's Symphonic Band & Wind Ensemble win major UIL award

Texas High's much-praised Symphonic Band & Wind Ensemble have been awarded the prestigious UIL Sweepstakes Award.


The group, which is under the direction of Steve Bennett, won the accolade after a year of great achievement.


These honors include top ratings at the Regional UIL Marching Band competition, a concert contest, and a sightreading competition.

This award is earned through the year-long achievement of a First Division Rating from judges at the Regional UIL Marching Contest along with the Concert Contest and the Sightreading Contest.
