You can be certified to use a forklift at UA Hope-Texarkana with one day class on Sept. 14

Would you or someone in your family like to be certified to use a forklift for career advancement or to find a job?

If so, you can do it right here in the area, and it isn't expensive either.

A forklift certification training class will be held at the University of Arkansas Hope campus on Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Technical & Industrial Building room 160.

The class is $75 per person and is limited to a maximum of 15 participants available on a first, come, first-serve basis. The class is instructed by Iry T. Rice, owner of Rice Safety Consultants. The class is compliant with OSHA specifications and provides a three-year certification.

The Department of Labor requires any forklift operator to hold an OSHA forklift certification. Certification can increase workplace safety and productivity and lower costs. A forklift operator card and certificate will be awarded to attendees after successfully completing the course.
