With school starting soon, all of us are beginning to think about the beautiful fall leaves. Now, you will have the chance to also explore container gardening in the fall at a program presented in Texarkana.
The Bowie County Master Gardeners in association with Texas A&M Texarkana will present a program titled “Fall Container Gardening” on Monday, August 12th.
The class will take place in the University Center Room 326 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The featured speaker for the program will be Master Gardener Cheryl Turner.
Container gardens are a great way to enjoy seasonal plants. The program will highlight when to plant fall containers, which plants are better suited for sun or shade, and discuss some unusual companions for container gardens. For more information about the Bowie County Master Gardener event at A&M-Texarkana, contact Emily Newsome at 903.223.3039 or enewsome@tamut.edu.
