University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana closing early today due to flooding in Southwest Arkansas

University of Arkansas Hope – Texarkana is closing the Hope campus at Noon today (July 16, 2019) due to extreme flooding and road closures.

The Texarkana campus will be closing at 1:00 p.m. today (July 16, 2019).This closure is inclusive of students, faculty, and staff.

According to the National Weather Service, another round of rainfall is approaching around 2:00 p.m. Please use this time to make it home or to safety. Use extreme caution when traveling home and do not cross flooded roadways. We recommend that you check road conditions on the IDrive Arkansas App before travelling.

UAHT will resume normal work hours tomorrow (July 17, 2019).
