Big promotion for Todd Marshall at Pleasant Grove High School

Pleasant Grove High School has a familiar face as its new principal as the assistant gets a big promotion.

The Pleasant Grove ISD Board of Trustees approved Todd Marshall for the position of Pleasant Grove High School Principal on Thursday, June 13 at their regular called board meeting. Marshall joined Pleasant Grove ISD in June 2018 as the high school assistant principal.

“Todd Marshall is dedicated, enthusiastic, and driven to motivate students and teachers to set the standard of excellence,” said Pleasant Grove ISD Superintendent Chad Pirtle. “He knows the students, staff, and community and has a foundation of trust with each group. I have no doubt that he will continue to provide great leadership to Pleasant Grove High School. His passion for our district will be contagious to students and staff. I look forward to what the future holds for Todd, Pleasant Grove High School, and Pleasant Grove Independent School District.”

Marshall brings to the position 13 years in education with nine years in administration. He served nine years in Texarkana Independent School District as a teacher, coach, and assistant principal and three years in Atlanta ISD as the elementary principal. Marshall received his Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Education in Administration from Southern Arkansas University. Marshall and his wife, Brooke, have twin boys, John and Luke, age two.

I will continue to do this as the new principal to ensure a positive environment of learning and high achievement at Pleasant Grove High School as we build upon the legacy of success.”
