Former Texarkanian Mike Huckabee celebrates his 45th Anniversary of marriage to Janet with pictures set to Kenny Rogers song: Video

Former Arkansas Governor and Beech Street pastor Mile Huckabee shared a touching video of life with his wife of 45 years, Janet, that includes touching scenes from Texarkana on Saturday.

Gov. Huckabee used the Kenny Rogers song "Through the Years" to showcase the pictures that change as the Kenny Rogers' hit song plays in the video.

On Saturday, the Hope, Arkansas native said: On this day 45 years ago, Janet Huckabee and I said "I do" & the Kenny Rogers song pretty well says it all! Through battling cancer, many moves, tough times, kids and grand-kids, remaining strong "Through The Years."

Many people are not aware that Janet Huckabee faced a devastating cancer diagnosis after deciding to consult with a doctor about what she thought was a disc problem in her back at age 20 when she was a newlywed.

"I'm 20 years old. That was not what I wanted to hear," Janet Huckabee told Baptist Press in 1999. "I am thankful today that I had the support I had through my family. What I had to do was face the facts that it was something I really didn't want, but it was something I had to deal with. And not only that I had to deal with, but my new husband and a family not living where I was."

But live through it they did, and the Ouachita Baptist University graduate later became First Lady of Arkansas and an advocate of cancer research.

So let's celebrate Mike and Janet's 45 years together in this heartfelt video of an all-American family who still thinks of Texarkana, Southwest Arkansas and the Ark-La-Tex as home.
