PGISD made a great decision in hiring Ryan Huntze as the new golf coach at Pleasant Grove High School - taking the place of the retiring Coach Rick Rogers.
Many people will recognize Huntze from his time at the Texarkana Country Club and more recently as the Golf Shop manager at Northridge Country Club for more than a year. His supportive wife is Ashton Huntze, and the couple married in 2017.
But Huntze's biggest challenge is yet to come, because he has to follow the enviable record of the Hawks under Coach Rogers Of course, there is more than a little pressure to do it again, but we have faith in Ryan Huntze and his teams.
We wish the newly minted Coach Huntze great success at PG. For the record, we're betting he'll make it to state soon.
