Church body of First Baptist Texarkana votes to call new pastor, Marcus Bellamy

The church body of FBC Texarkana voted to call Marcus Bellamy to the position of Pastor of Spiritual Development, and he will begin this new journey and full-time position in May.

Bellamy, who is pictured with his wife Patricia and their children Faith, Teela and Clyde, worked alongside famed pastor Dr. Tony Evans as Lead Associate Pastor and Associate Pastor for 13 years at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas. Dr. Evans is a popular author who is not only a thought leader in the evangelical community but the chaplain of the Dallas Mavericks for over 30 years and the former chaplain of the Dallas Cowboys.

Pastor Jeff Schreve is thrilled with the church's decision to call Pastor Bellamy and announced the church's vote on Twitter saying "Exciting times at FBC Texarkana."

We wish Pastor Marcus, Patricia and their beautiful children the very best as they start this new chapter in their lives in the warm and friendly city of Texarkana as the new pastor helps guides the spiritual development of FBC Texarkana.
